I never rake mine until the trees are bare...and some blow over to my neighbour's  Wink
Had to laugh at the latter as he came over yesterday and asked if I'd like to have the leaves they plan to rake up this weekend   laugh

I've had about 3 goes at ours, including the ones in teh gutter on the road and have a healthy ton bag full, plus all the ones I raked to the base of the hedges.

From now on, it's a free for all.  biggrin

If only the trees could get organized, and all drop their leaves at the same time   Roll Eyes ,
but no, they have to spread it over a month or  so.    Sad

Think yourself lucky Tode.  Our Almond tree starts June/July followed by three out the front which I don't know the names of.  The walnut trees are falling like mad at the moment, the pear trees are looking a little dry so will be next but the plum trees haven't even started yet.

We've had one night of frost so the remaining bedding plants look sick and it's warming up again over the next few days for the weeds to flourish  ohmy.

We have a new leaf cage this year and so far it has been filled to the brim twice, sinking dramatically in between.

it's 1.5m by 1m and 1m deep -- a lorra lorra leaves and loads more to come  biggrin biggrin biggrin
